For over four decades, Gavazzeni has been creating beautifully handcrafted leather accessories that celebrate the very best of Italian craftsmanship. Founded in 1979 by Sergio Gavazzeni in Rovato, the family business has built its reputation on exceptional quality, timeless design and a genuine passion for traditional leatherworking.

Soon after establishing the business, Sergio was joined by his wife Katia, whose experience with renowned Italian fashion house Max Mara helped shape the brand's refined aesthetic and appreciation for beautifully made accessories. Together, they launched the Gavazzeni collection under their own family name. Today, the next generation continues that legacy, ensuring every belt remains true to the brand's original values.

Every Gavazzeni belt is proudly crafted in Italy using premium leather and carefully considered finishing techniques. From beautifully supple Norway leather and garment-dyed finishes to hand-waxed edges, aged nickel buckles and elegant leather-covered hardware, every detail reflects the skill of the artisans behind each design.

FINDING YOUR PERFECT BELT SIZE

Choosing the right size is one of the most important parts of finding a belt you'll enjoy wearing for years to come. Unlike clothing sizes, Italian belt sizes refer to the measurement in centimetres, rather than your dress size, so sizes such as 75, 80, 85, 90 and 95 indicate the length of the belt rather than the size you'll usually wear in clothing.

The easiest way to find your ideal size is to measure a belt you already own, from the buckle prong to the hole you use most often. Alternatively, you can measure around your waist or hips over the clothing you plan to wear with the belt.

It's also worth considering where you'll wear it. A slim belt worn through belt loops on jeans or trousers will often require a different size to a wider belt worn over dresses or tailoring, where a little extra length may be needed. Some Gavazzeni styles also feature discreet elasticated back panels for added comfort and flexibility.
