For many ladies who appreciate distinctive European design, the name ISCHIKO may already be familiar. What you might not know is that the label was founded by the very same designer whose fantastic collection we now welcome at Jane Young … Isik Ozgur.

Raised in a fabulously creative family, Işik Özgür developed a unique artists eye that would go on to shape her career in the fashion world. She began by designing for a German brand before establishing her own label, ISCHIKO, in the early 1990s. The brand became known for its contemporary silhouettes, offering a distinctive approach to womenswear that moved beyond conventional ideas of how clothing should look and feel.

After more than two decades, ISCHIKO in 2012; Işik Özgür subsequently continued her creative journey under her own name, developing designs that reflect her creative interest in unique fabrics, colours, prints and the way garments fall on the body.

This connection between ISCHIKO and Isik Ozgur is really exciting for customers who have enjoyed the original label for so many years. Although the name has changed, understanding the designer's journey into her current collections offers a glimpse into the incredible dedication and growth that sits behind her garments.

Collections from across Işik Özgür’s career have been carried by internationally recognised retailers, including Liberty and Selfridges in London, Harvey Nichols in Istanbul and Takashimaya in New York.

Today, Işik Özgür continues to design under her own name. At Jane Young, we are delighted to introduce her work to our customers, bringing together an appreciation of her design heritage with a carefully selected edit of her contemporary pieces designed for the modern, expressive woman.

Choosing the right size is an important part of finding clothing you'll love wearing. With Isik Ozgur, it's worth taking a little extra care, as the collection uses different sizing systems across its garments.

Depending on the style, you may see sizes expressed as UK dress sizes, such as 8, 10 and 12, or as letter sizes, including XS, S, M and L. These systems shouldn't automatically be treated as interchangeable, so we recommend calling or emailing to check the sizing information for the individual garment rather than relying on a direct conversion.

Isik Ozgur's designs often feature relaxed, draped or voluminous silhouettes. Wide-fit knitwear, balloon-leg trousers and softly structured jackets are intended to create shape through their cut and proportions, rather than following the body closely. This means that your usual size may not always be the only consideration when choosing a piece. The intended fit, the fabric and how you would like the garment to sit all matter, too.

As the designer doesn't provide an official size chart, we've taken a practical approach at Jane Young. Where garment measurements are not available, we'll provide measurements taken from our own stock to help you make a more informed decision. These measurements relate to the actual garment, rather than and the sizing system will be stated alongside each item.
